The foundation of ‘The 4 Elements’ is four discrete but complementary installations.EARTH, WATER, FIRE and AIR.
All the elements are powerful, life-giving and essential to our survival. At the same time, they are perishable. FIRE devours itself, ICE melts, etc. Therefore, the films hold a central role in the project, and through them the installations can be shown again and again. The films are also shared on social media platforms and at exhibitions to form a complete experience of T4e. At each exhibition, one or more of the installations is highlighted and allowed to physically take priority in the space. For example, WATER will dominate the exhibition to be held in the Seychelles in July 2022 because rising sea levels is the most significant problem in that region of the Earth.
The other elements will be present on large screens or projections surrounding the principal installation at the exhibition.
